Important instructions for Address Update facility through Aadhaar based e-KYC:

1. This facility is free of cost.

2. This facility can be used by those users who have linked their PAN with Aadhaar & want to update their address in PAN database as per Aadhaar.

3. To avail Address Update facility, Aadhaar is mandatory and Mobile number / email ID should have been registered in Aadhaar. (To check registered mobile number/email ID in Aadhaar, please visit at https://uidai.gov.in/)

4. One time password (OTP) would be sent on your mobile number/email ID linked with your Aadhaar to generate Aadhaar Based e-KYC.

5. After generation of Aadhaar based e-KYC, the address as per Aadhaar will be updated in PAN Database.

6. After update of address in PAN Database, an intimation of the same will be sent via email to the mobile number and e-mail ID mentioned by the user while using this facility.

7. Mobile number & e-mail ID confirmed by user would be updated in PAN database of Income Tax Department.

1. Use my Aadhaar details for Address Update Facility and authenticate my identity through the Aadhaar Authentication system (Aadhaar based e-KYC services of UIDAI) in accordance with the provisions of the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 and the allied rules and regulations notified thereunder and for no other purpose. I have understood that the Demographic details (Name, Gender and Date of Birth) and/or Biometrics and/or OTP, I provide for authentication shall be used only for authenticating my identity through the Aadhaar Authentication system for this specific transaction and for no other purposes.
2. Authenticate my Aadhaar through OTP or Biometric for authenticating my identity through the Aadhaar Authentication system for obtaining my e-KYC through Aadhaar based e-KYC services of UIDAI and use my Photo and Demographic details (Name, Gender, Date of Birth and Address) for address update facility.
3. I understand that Security and confidentiality of personal identity data provided, for the purpose of Aadhaar based authentication is ensured by Protean and the data will be stored by Protean till such time as mentioned in guidelines from UIDAI from time to time.
